Waypoint’s client is seeking a Protocol Analysis and Cyber Discovery Technique Developer
to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the CHIMERA team to identify and resolve malicious cyber activities.
- Translate communications into intelligible forms for analysis and response.
- Develop discovery tools using C++ and Python to enhance cyber detection capabilities.
- Deliver newly discovered cyber protocols/variants and processing methods to enhance cyber defense measures.
- Contribute to the delivery of cyber actor infrastructure, tools, and malware executables to support defensive operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, an Associate's degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 9 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with significant related experience.
- Degree in Computer Science (CS) or related field.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Experience in developing or analyzing hardware or software techniques, applications, and tools, scientific programming, or digital signals processing.
- Understanding of signals and protocol analysis techniques, with the ability to apply them to discovery activities.
- Knowledge of bit manipulation tools.
- Familiarity with communication protocols relevant to cyber activity.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages.
