Position Title:  Analytic Developer

Waypoint’s client is seeking an Analytic Developer to join their team. primary goal is to provide support in software engineering and data science domains. You will collaborate closely with analysts to develop tradecraft, train, and document datasets and tradecraft methodologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide software engineering and data science support to enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with analysts to understand requirements and develop tradecraft methodologies.
  • Develop, train, and document datasets and tradecraft techniques.
  • Utilize Python Jupyter Notebook to develop data science solutions following best practices.
  • Implement PySpark analytics using big data best practices to derive insights from large datasets.
  • Document work using Agile methodologies in Jira and Confluence.
  • Commit code in GitLab following versioning control best practices.
Requirements:
  • ​High School diploma/GED plus 9 years of relevant experience, or Associate's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or Doctoral degree with no experience.
  • Degree in Computer Science (CS) or related fields with a concentration of courses in foundational CS areas.
  • Relevant experience in the software development process, including requirements analysis, software design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment/installation, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in developing in Python Jupyter Notebook using data science best practices.
  • Experience in developing PySpark analytics using big data best practices.
  • Familiarity with documenting in Jira and Confluence using Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to commit code in GitLab following versioning control best practices.
