Description: Waypoint’s client is seeking a dedicated Cloud System Administrator to join our dynamic Operations Team. This role involves managing and maintaining a cloud environment platform built with Java and a suite of Free and Open-Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo. Our platform supports the execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure, ensuring stability and high performance.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the day-to-day operations stability of our cloud environment, ensuring the infrastructure is reliable and efficient.
Provide high-quality customer support, addressing and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
Utilize technical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Self-motivated and proactive in completing tasks, ensuring all operational requirements and deadlines are met with a strong attention to detail.
Work with a variety of technologies based on customer requirements, enhancing your skillset and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
Strong background in troubleshooting operational issues within a Linux environment.
Knowledge in Key Technologies:
Docker
Kubernetes
Hadoop
Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to completing tasks.
Strong attention to detail with excellent troubleshooting and repair expertise.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing customer requirements.
Willingness to work shift hours and be on-call as needed.
