Description: Waypoint’s client is seeking a highly skilled Sr Systems Engineer to join their team at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in assisting leadership in defining and enforcing the Hydra API on software vendors for various Army intelligence systems.
Responsibilities:
Work with existing vendors, such as Palantir, to ensure API conformance.
Assist leadership in defining and enforcing the Hydra API specifications for their programs of record.
Ensure that Army equipment data is accurately read and written to/from vendor databases using the Hydra API.
Read API specifications and use REST tools (e.g., Postman, Curl) to interact with REST implementations.
Report status to government customers and enforce government guidelines on vendors.
Requirements:
Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study
8+ years of experience in a relevant field.
Extensive experience with Army intelligence systems is highly desirable.
Proficient in reading API specifications and using REST tools for API interactions.
Excellent communication skills for effective reporting and guideline enforcement.
