Description:

The Data Scientist will play a pivotal role in supporting National Security Group (NSG) strategies through the development and enhancement of automated systems and models. This role involves creating automated collection models, dynamic analytic models, and workflow automations to optimize operational performance. The specialist will utilize data science and visual programming skills to streamline analysis tasks, enhance technical solutions, and address complex problems related to intelligence integration and information sharing. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in various geospatial software applications and programming tools, enabling them to contribute effectively to the team's objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated collection models and dynamic analytic models to support NSG strategies.
  • Develop workflow automations and other automation processes as assigned, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate performance data to identify areas for improvement in automated solutions.
  • Engage with customers regularly to gather feedback and refine automation processes.
  • Maintain a standardized cycle for the maintenance and enhancement of automated systems.
  • Apply data science methodologies and visual programming techniques to streamline analysis tasks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and government entities to identify and address data analysis needs.
  • Develop and enhance technical solutions for issues related to intelligence community (IC) integration, automated collections, tipping and cueing, and information sharing.
  • Create and refine visualization tools to support data analysis and decision-making processes.
  • Conduct extensive data collections and analytic modeling to support various projects.
  • Utilize advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to analyze and interpret data.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Geospatial Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing automated solutions, with a focus on data science and analysis.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in geospatial software applications and visual programming tools such as JEMA, FADE/MIST, ECO/ETAS.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with GIMS, AWS Sagemaker, AWS Cloud, and ESRI ArcGIS.
  • Competency in statistical analysis, including descriptive and Bayesian statistics, Markov-Chain modeling, and machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow.
  • Knowledge of Linear Algebra, R, SAS, and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
