Position Title: Agile SW EO Product Owner
Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Location: Huntsville, AL
Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher
The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement Operations Team Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO).
The PO will be responsible for the Prioritization and validation of the development software for the Engagement Operations team. The position will include reviewing and understanding Systems Engineering concepts, designs and algorithms and providing guidance to the development team.
The product owner will work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint. The position will include technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status and recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.

Responsibilities:
- Prioritization and validation of the development software for the Engagement Operations team.
- Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs and algorithms and provide guidance to the development team.
- Work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint.
- Provide oversight to EO SW development team and verify the team’s work based on agreed upon acceptance criteria.
- Work directly with Agile software developers.
- Provide technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status and recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
Required:
- US citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics.
- Minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
- Basic understanding of Engagement Operations (EO) concepts to include engagement planning/scheduling, threat evaluation, target selection, battlespace prediction and sensor resource management.
- Ability to provide oversight to EO SW development team and verify the team’s work based on agreed upon acceptance criteria.
- Ability to work directly with Agile software developers.
- Fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
Desired:
- Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
- Familiar with current EO implementations in one or more of the DoD services.
- Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team
